Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is an exciting new approach to network IT Service Management. This is an introduction on SDN and Network Function Virtualization (NFV), where we will talk about the virtualization of hardware as well as the opportunities (including security) and challenges these innovations provide. SDN and NFV extend network flexibility and functionality, which impact Network Engineering and Operations teams in a way never seen before.We’ll explore what skills and capabilities are needed to take advantage of SDN and NFV. Network engineers, network operation staff, IT Service Managers, IT personnel managers, and application/compute small and medium enterprises will benefit from this session.
