Junaid Siddiqui is a Software Developer at VCycene, a start-up company operating out of IBM’s start-up incubator VentureLab. He has also taken up and contributed to some of the many responsibilities required at a start-up company ranging from software and AI development to project management and marketing. Despite being early in his career, he has gained the confidence of the VCycene team through his contributions and work ethic.
He completed his undergraduate degree in 2020 at the University of Waterloo’s Nanotechnology Engineering program, then completed his Master’s degree in 2022 in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at McMaster University, graduating with the highest distinction. During his degree, he published his thesis “Biodegradable asparagine–graphene oxide free chlorine sensors fabricated using solution-based processing,” and as a first author, he published 2 review papers and 2 research papers on integrating electrochemical sensors and artificial intelligence.
Outside of his technical roles, he enjoys his ongoing studies in literature and ethics which have been invaluable in his contributions to both technical and non-technical environments.
